Who built this

The team behind GreenShift.

The people building and backing GreenShift.

Dan Stoschek

CEO / Managing Director

Dan leads GreenShift's business model, financing and go-to-market — including the signed letter of intent with a regional carrier and the active pilot with an IT service provider. He heads start-up development at FH Dortmund, where he turns research results into viable ventures, and previously led an €800K seed round as Entrepreneur in Residence at a Luxembourg AI start-up. He holds a Master's in Entrepreneurship from Trinity College Dublin (First Class Honors with Distinction).

Jaime Burbano

CTO

Jaime designed GreenShift's two-layer measurement concept and its reconciliation logic — the technical core of the product. As Lead Systems Architect at FH Dortmund, he leads the architecture behind the university's €5.6M stake in the European 8ra initiative (IPCEI-CIS), coordinating a twelve-person team across cloud, edge and embedded systems. He's a CNCF KubeCon speaker, holds five registered hardware patents, and won Samsung Electronics' 2018 5G Challenge as team lead.

Iurii Pigovskyi

Platform & Billing Architecture

Iurii architects GreenShift's platform and billing systems. He holds a PhD and has over twenty years of software development experience, including eleven years in distributed systems. Before joining the EMULATE team in 2024, he spent seven years at BSS provider Qvantel building billing systems for mobile network operators — running in large-scale production across multiple carriers, the same system class GreenShift operates in.

Muhammad Mohsin Abbasi

Software Engineer

Mohsin builds the measurement core behind GreenShift's energy and CO₂ attribution. Before joining FH Dortmund as a Research Associate, he spent seven years as a C/C++ engineer building low-latency trading gateways and market-data platforms, including hardening a trading system used in connection with the NYSE. He holds a Master's in Wireless Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and is completing a second Master's in Embedded Systems Engineering at FH Dortmund.

Mae Eskandari

Development

Mae builds the multi-machine test environment where GreenShift's measurement chain gets validated, and works on the project's adaptive orchestration platform. She brings four years of IT operations experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Kafka and telemetry tooling, including a five-service Kubernetes lab environment she built from scratch. She's completing a Master's in Digital Transformation at FH Dortmund.

Fahimeh Fotouhi

Development

Fahimeh builds GreenShift's data pipelines and performance reporting (FastAPI, Redis Streams, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Prometheus/Grafana). She brings over eight years of experience in software and data architectures across banking, insurance, industrial and energy. For her Master's thesis at Vaillant Group, she built an anomaly detection system for heating systems on more than ten million IoT time-series data points. She holds a Master's in Data Science from TU Dortmund.

Prof. Dr. Rolf Schuster

Scientific Advisor

Rolf leads the EMULATE research project from which GreenShift's technology originates. He remains connected as a silent partner and advisor, without an operational role.
